Hikari started and dropped her spoon as a loud cry echoed through the woods. Beside her, Takeshi almost overturned a soup bowl while Kotone shrieked and grabbed onto a visibly shaken Kazunari.
The four of them were sitting down to lunch in a forest clearing, en route to Nagisa City, while Satoshi was training just out of sight.
"Um... you okay?" Kazunari called nervously.
A sopping wet Satoshi stumbled out of the treeline, followed by Pikachu and a sheepish Buoysel. "I'm okay," he sighed. "Misfired Aqua Jet... Is there any food left?"

In the movie, the part of the Chinese princess was played by a blonde American actress. When I complained about this blatant disregard for accuracy to my teacher, his response was that the movie was made in the late 1960s, and feelings of animosity towards the continent of Asia in general were at an all-time high due to the Cold War. According to him, if an actual Chinese woman or even a Chinese-looking woman were cast in the role of the princess, the ignorant American public of yesteryear wouldn't have been able to relate to her as a characterAang Ain't White by ~AmbrMerlinus
